Paula Swales

Data Protection Consultant

Paula is an experienced data protection professional who forms part of the Data Protection Team at Gemserv. Paula gained a keen interest in data protection while conducting clinical research in Psychology. She has worked with private sector organisations to create and implement privacy frameworks and to comply with applicable data protection laws. This included managing Data Protection Impact Assessments, Information Asset Registers, Data Subject Requests, third party contracts and incident responses.

Paula is a certified Privacy Professional and has led on GDPR compliance and Data Security & Protection projects to comply with sector specific standards. She is now actively involved in data protection projects within Gemserv and provides advice and guidance on legislative requirements, conducting impact assessments and privacy related risk management.
