Gemserv announce a strategic partnership with PPL to support the health and care system recover and develop from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic

24th Jun, 2020

Gemserv Health, an expert provider of professional services, helping clients develop and embed complex health and care digital transformation programmes and PPL, a social enterprise that exists to promote better health, wellbeing and economic outcomes across the UK working with individuals, communities and the organisations that support them announce a strategic partnership which will harness the expertise of both businesses to provide the health and care system with an approach to system transformation that focusses on people and outcomes.

The fight against COVID-19 to date has been focussed on the immediate threat and relief from that threat. This relief phase will continue until COVID-19 has been fully eradicated but national and local leadership recognise the need to start planning for a recovery and development phase sooner rather than later.

“As we move from immediate response to recovering services and building for the future it is critical our clients get the best possible support they can.” says Gemserv’s Head of Health. “I believe the proven partnership between Gemserv and PPL offer our clients just that. Together we are able to support all aspects of both service restart and transformation that both deliver today and build for the future. This partnership underlines Gemserv’s commitment to address the critical issues facing society today both in health and the environment.”

Planning and implementing these phases will in many ways resemble complex health and care transformation programmes. PPL and Gemserv bring a well-tested partnership with extensive experience and capability in delivering complex system change in the health and care sector. Our experience now and in the past enables us to work with you as an ‘innovation partner’ to help create outcome focussed solutions to the challenges that Covid-19 presents.

“We have seen an incredible response across NHS, local authority and voluntary sector organisations to the pandemic, but also the huge and growing challenges across all service areas,’ Simon Morioka Co-founder and Managing Partner comments. ‘We are delighted to be working with Gemserv to support organisations and partnerships address immediate pressures and embed innovation and learning for the longer term.”
