Matthew Rudd

Policy & Insight Consultant

Matthew works as an consultant in the Policy Team within the Low Carbon Business Unit. With an Undergraduate degree in History from Durham University, Matthew brings excellent written communication skills and research capabilities to his role. He puts these skills to use by regularly writing consultation responses and evidence-based reports for clients.  

He has expertise across a range of areas within the net zero sector, with a particular specialism in energy efficiency and green skills. As well as his in-depth knowledge of the policy landscape, Matthew also has a strong technical understanding of the retrofit process. He has completed a Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit, and is currently undergoing a Level 3 Course in Domestic Retrofit Advice to become a qualified Retrofit Advisor. Matthew has experience working on a diverse range of projects – he has authored regional green skills reports, designed high-quality sustainability lessons for students, and helped to administer the Warmer Homes London Programme. In addition, Matthew is currently the Policy and Communications Manager for the National Insulation Association.
