Exploring commercial funding mechanisms for Smart Local Energy Systems

Date of event 21 January 2025

Time 16:00 - 19:00

Location 77 Gracechurch Street

The government is aiming to build 1.5 million all-electric homes and to achieve a Net Zero grid by 2030.

It is now crucial to address the resulting increase in connection queues and grid constraints, both technically and commercially.

Join members and guests of the Local Energy Markets Alliance (LEMA) for an early evening roundtable at our offices in Central London from 16:00-19:00 on 21st January 2025. We will host presentations, discussions and networking for organisations interested in property development and local area energy transition.

Keynote speaker Patrick Allcorn from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) will lead discussions on asset ownership in Smart Local Energy Systems (SLES) deployments, managing consumer counterparty risk, business models for SLES, and funding mechanisms.

This event is relevant to sectors across the SLES value chain including government, regulators, investors, local authorities, councils, housing associations, and property developers.
