Richard is a senior sustainability professional with extensive in-house sustainability leadership and ESG consultancy experience across the public and private sectors. Richard supports clients in developing and implementing ESG strategies through the whole lifecycle, from initial materiality assessment, board buy-in, governance and target setting to internal engagement, data flow mapping, automation, analytics and continuous improvement. He brings an extensive knowledge of ESG regulation and stakeholder interest to projects, combined with experience from his operational and in-house sustainability background, backed by a large team of systems experts and data scientists in the wider Talan Group.
Richard is passionate about enabling organisations and teams to focus on delivering positive impact, informed by actionable data-driven insights and released from the challenges of data acquisition. In addition to deploying automation, data analytics and AI solutions for clients to respond effectively to increasing ESG reporting requirements, over the last 3 years Richard has supported several high-profile public sector, listed and smaller private sector clients to develop and embed scope 3 reporting, accompanied by detailed costed Net Zero roadmaps and implementation plans.
