Gemserv launches intuitive Cyber Threat Intelligence portfolio

11th Jul, 2022

Professional services consultancy announces platform to inform and direct enterprise and public sector cyber-security strategies

London – 11 July 2022: Gemserv, a leading UK professional services company, has today announced the launch of its Cyber Threat Intelligence solution.

Already being deployed by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the new portfolio of products and services is purpose-built to support enterprises and the public sector with the extraction and dissemination of actionable intelligence that informs and directs their cyber security strategies, controls, and mitigation measures.

Fully scalable, the services suite supports organisations with threat landscape analysis, credential compromises, data leak and exposure detection, technology stack and supply chain monitoring, brand protection, vulnerability and exposure monitoring, and geopolitical and social media intelligence.

“Geopolitical tensions and ongoing conflicts have edged the world into a heightened state of security”,commented Ian Hirst, Partner, Cyber Threat Services at Gemserv. “Now more than ever, organisations need comprehensive solutions that cover all touch points along the supply chain. Our new Cyber Threat Intelligence solution enables Gemserv to offer its customers tailored end to end security, extending beyond the platform to offer ongoing analysis and consultation.”

Most organisations are overwhelmed by the sheer weight of security alerts and available intelligence, and in many cases, they may not even be relevant to their business. Cyber Threat Intelligence collects information from the greatest breadth of sources, helps eliminate manual research for security teams and surfaces intelligence in real time, giving organisations a comprehensive view of their threat landscape.

Using Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), that provides real-time information on potential cyber threats and risks, cyber-security teams are kept updated on conventional online activity that could pose a serious risk to the organisation. These include threat data feeds; open web forums where attackers exchange information and tools for exploiting vulnerabilities; dark web communities where hackers and state sponsored actors share techniques and plot attacks; online marketplaces where cybercriminals buy and sell confidential information; and social media accounts where threat actors impersonate employees and counterfeit products.
