Policy Insight Analyst

Waco Yokoyama is a Policy and Insights Analyst in the Low Carbon Team at Gemserv. She supports our clients across a range of low carbon policy areas by researching, drafting consultation responses, developing briefings and facilitating stakeholder engagement. She is experienced at reviewing complex, technical documents and translating them into comprehensible narratives, drawing out key conclusions.

She has recently completed her degree in MSc in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford. Her thesis focused on reimaging the mining sector, more specifically, examining whether localising the lithium supply chain in the UK is a Climate Smart Mining solution, and how to make localisation in Europe also supportive for developing countries.
