Gemserv has been commissioned by the South West Net Zero Hub (SWNZH) to develop a Regional Skills Plan relating to net zero, buildings and retrofit. This will assess the current state of the retrofit supply chain and identify the necessary steps to develop local supply chain capacity to be able to achieve net zero targets. The objective is to deliver data and recommendations for funding for retrofit education and training in the South West.
To support the study, Gemserv will be contacting local businesses and training providers involved in the local retrofit space. These surveys will help to inform the Regional Skills Plan, through understanding the provision of training and the challenges associated with scaling the availability of services.
